Author: Chelsea Quake

Chelsea Quake is a Library Manager and Teacher Librarian living in Melbourne, Australia. She is a strong advocate for school libraries, media and information literacy, “new librarianship” and the emerging role of librarians as cutting edge innovators, educators, ‘experience architects’, and community builders. In particular, Chelsea is passionate about working with young people and engaging them with all the things a library can offer – from books to robots to craft a conversation, and sometimes a safe haven or space to make new friends and take a breath. Chelsea believes that information literacy is a human right, and that every school should have access to a qualified librarian or teacher-librarian. Chelsea holds a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Prep - 12), a Bachelor of Business (Information & Knowledge Management), and an Advanced Diploma in Multimedia. And she usually doesn't refer to herself in third person narrative.
